Customer Review: Is it worth it? Yes it is.
I ordered a new Slim PSP special edition. So here I was with my brand new system that I wanted to protect. I began to shop around for skins-case that would protect my system while allowing me to show it off. I found the Sony clear plastic case that is designed for the Slim PSP... OMG is that thing huge. It literally defeats the purpose of the slim in my opinion. So I kept looking and found the Logitech version... same problem, its thick, very thick. Don't get me wrong I am sure that they do a great job of protecting the PSP, but they were not what I was looking for. Just as I am about ready to give up on my search I came across an unknown (to me) name producing a clear skin that they promote as Slim... I did a little checking and reading up on the product and figured that it was probably about as close as I could come to what I wanted. So I ordered it. I found it on eBay and thought well several feedbacks from them said that the seller was a good dealer, didn't see anything to put me off. When I saw that it had free shipping I started to think "oh no" but I went ahead and got it. First let me say that I paid on Monday, and with the free shipping they offered... it was here Wednesday, already a good start. I opened the brown box and found what surprised me. Considering what I paid for the skin the quality of the box was very high. I know what you're thinking, what does the box have to do with it, but consider this, they didn't have to spend the money to make a quality box if they knew they were selling something cheap. So I opened the box that actually contained the skin and pulled out a funny kind of sticky but not really piece of plastic that had wrapped up my new skin. I began to unwrap my skin and my first impression was "wow this thing is thin, and it seems kind of flimsy" but that was before I installed it. Installation was about as simple as it can get. When I had it in place, (4 parts, a few simple snaps, and a quick polish before I began) I no longer had the impression that it was a cheap product. I began to see exactly why they went the way they did with their design. My PSP still feels thinner then an original PSP. It does not feel any heavier. Best of all, It does exactly what I wanted. I can still connect each and every cable, strap, and device I used to connect before the skin was installed. I can still place my PSP on my docking station to charge it while I watch videos on my HDTV. My PSP still fits in my hand dock charger that extends battery life with giving a better grip. I barely even notice it's on there, that is until I drop my PSP (about 2 feet) and have an instant "OH CRAP" reaction. I picked it up and did a very thorough inspection. I found the scratch, on my new skin. It saved my PSP. That right there is why I bought this skin and it has already paid for itself. Oh and by the way, even though my skin is scratched, it did not crack and still protects exactly as it used to. The only thing that could make this skin better would be to include a LCD protector with it. That's not a big deal they sell those too. So do yourself (and your PSP) a favor and pick up one of these and a screen protector. You won't be disappointed, oh and they come in various color styles if you don't like the clear. 10 out of 10 Thank you Joytron.
Customer Review: The perfect product for the perfect portable game system
I do not think I can improve on what has been said about this case already. I just wanted to add my vote of 5 stars. Joytron has created a brilliant product that allows the beauty of the PSP to show through, while protecting it in a case that does not interfere with game play or add any additional weight. The thin shell and clasps may look weak, but they are very strong. The tolerances they had to match on the UMD door is amazing. You would not think you could snap any type of cover to the door, but these folks figured it out. I am sure it was not an easy feat, as many cases leave the UMD door uncovered for this reason. It was even nice to find a handwritten note in the box thanking me for my order and asking me to let them know if I had any questions or problems. You will not be disappointed when you receive this case. Just a note, the case fits to very close tolerances. If it seems that the clasps are not locking, be sure to apply a little extra pressure to the connection and use your fingers to slightly shift the joining pieces in opposite directions, left or right, until they lock with a click. The clasps have to engage exactly or they will not lock. Once locked in place, it will not come apart unless you want it to. (The reason this case does not show up in the case search is that it is categorized as a game instead of an accessory. Amazon take note.)

One day after school i was walking home very tired when i noticed there was this package in my door so i grabbed it and took it in my house and i started opening it when i saw it the Joytron skin case. i started to open it and i read the instructions wich are very easy to understand if you are a bigginer. so i had put all of it together and it looked very astonishing. every thing was very easy to get to like the chrging output the USB and the memory stck slot. But the thing that was most pleasing was the UMD door it was free and could open not like those other case that first you need to take it apart and then open the UMD door. overall this is the best case i have ever had and if you know me i had alot (24) but the all were too bulky or not comfterble to handle also it feels like a regular PSP without a case and looks good on my PSP out of 10 i give it a 11.
